Well, I'm not really a Vernonia Graduate

Where have you been? Where are you at? What are you doing?

Well, I'm not really a Vernonia Graduate

Postby Diane Hertel Monjay » March 26, 2005, 9:17 pm

I'm a Forest Grove grad, class of '74, but consider myself a Vernonian, since all my formative years up to the beginning of my Sophomore year were spend in the lovely forests of Vernonia.

Now I live in So. CA, and have worked for a pharmaceutical company for 20 years - married, 2 kids, 1 dog. You can take the girl out of Vernonia, but you can't take Vernonia out of the girl . . . . :D

Well, you came a lot closer to graduating from Vernonia than I did. I left before 7th grade.

Eileen... glad to see you found this page. I was sorry to read about your dad on the (old) Class of 74 page. He was one of my favorite teacher. I have many good memories from his class.

I have abandoned the (old) page as this (new) site gives "everyone " a place to reconnect... glad to see Diane here too!!! I have some pictures from past reunions I will be posting (soon) be sure to check the "Album" section on this site.

Hey, and Hi to Sue too... sounds like life has been good to you!!!

Yes, until about 69 or 70, can't remember. And I left Vernonia in 71. Heard the pharmacy was never reopened after the big flood. I remember when Vernonia had 2 doctors, a dentist, AND a pharmacist! Big town!

Well, hello there Eileen! I couldn't find my "password", but finally my Alzheimers cleared up, and I found it. What fun to see what people are writing! The past always gets better with age, and you know what, the past was pretty good when it was the present!

I can't complain about the present now either. Kids and Dick are great, job is interesting, and I'm leasing a quarter pony! (that way if I don't have time to ride, I can just back out). Come to So. CA and go riding with me!
